This debut series by DOKU, LuYang's virtual avatar, under "DOKU the Creator," is titled "Concept Void." It explores how from birth, we use our senses to grasp the external world and form concepts that shape our perception of a reality we consider true. But, are these concepts as solid when viewed with wisdom?
The Diamond Sutra teaches, "All conditioned phenomena are like dreams, illusions, bubbles, or shadows; like dew or lightning, and should be viewed as such." This series underscores that life and the world are in perpetual flux, constantly arising and ceasing, impermanent, not to be clung to as real, and ultimately not preservable.
"Concept Void" challenges these ingrained notions by presenting 108 unique works, each addressing one of Buddhism's 108 afflictions. Created by DOKU through meditation in a virtual void, each piece invites viewers to rethink the constructs and transient nature of our perceived reality.
