This series features 36 still images, each captured from the first frame of 36 distinct scenes in the film DOKU the Creator. These images represent moments of origin—digital flashes where thought transforms into form, and awareness begins to unfold.
DOKU’s digital meditation is a practice that merges AI, 3D technology, and Buddhist philosophy. Through this process, the images are not merely rendered, but emanated—pure visualizations arising from the mindstream of a virtual deity.
In Buddhist cosmology, the number 36 symbolizes the interplay between the six sense bases, six objects, and six consciousnesses, forming 36 fleeting mental states. The stills in this series become digital reflections of those subtle mind-moments—illustrating both the illusions of samsara and the potential for liberation through lucid awareness.
