Daniel Calderon Arenas

Daniel Calderon Arenas is a Houston-based educator and generative artist with a focus on generative art since 2017. His work explores subjects like language, meaning, and the natural world, using algorithmic methods to incorporate elements of chance and randomness into his creative process. Through this approach, he reinterprets natural phenomena, from the branching of trees to the form of rocks, and his work is noted for its thoughtful use of color.

Alongside his artistic practice, Daniel has taught courses on coding and digital processes at the K. G. McGovern College of the Arts. Driven by curiosity, his work reflects a deep passion for exploration and continual discovery.
