Author Caroline Weber: “Anna Condo discloses beauty in the subtlest gradations of color and contrast, drama in the most delicate nuances of texture and tone, wisdom in an ever-fluid interplay between fragility and strength. Her work is at once a revelation of and an invitation into a world of singular enchantment—a world the viewer will be unable to forget and most unwilling to leave.”
Anna Condo is an Armenian-born, France-raised filmmaker, photographer, and AI artist.
As a teenager she studied at Paris’s École des Arts Appliqués, then went on to study Art History and Archaeology at Université Paris Nanterre. During the same period she booked her first television role and joined the drama program at Cours Florent, sparking an early acting career.
In 1989 she began dividing her time between Paris and New York, studying at the Lee Strasberg Institute and expanding into writing and directing. Her credits as writer-director include four short films and three features. She also edited and published AH Allen, a tribute to poet Allen Ginsberg.
From 2013–2022 her work centered on floral photography, treating each bloom as a portrait—alive, complex, and unapologetically feminine.
Since 2022 Condo has embraced generative technology, using AI to create art, songs, and video clips that carry her restless vision into new territory.
Condo lives and works in New York City.
