NO PARKING IN SHALLOW WATER (2025) – 36 works by conceptual artist Kevin Abosch that hybridize the decaying elegance of vintage automobiles with the stillness of shallow (and sometimes empty) pools. These synthetic photographs examine symbols of freedom and leisure, recontextualizing them into compositions that drift between landscape and still life. The series confronts the quiet violence of nostalgia --how decay, when framed as charm or legacy, becomes a tool for erasure, and how a longing for what once was can be weaponized to obscure what is.
