Disrupted Systems and the Soft Breeze
VR, Blender, AI Processes, and Video Feedback Glitch Capture
In Disrupted Systems and the Soft Breeze, a creature—half superhero, half dream—sits suspended in a speculative terrain. The landscape, sculpted in VR and rendered through Blender is rich with crystalline stones, pixelated skies, and gentle glitch-water ripples. I constructed the world thinking about car rides from my childhood, looking at sweeping landscapes from the car window. I long so often and so much to be alone in a beautiful and serene environment.
But the surface flickers. The glitch—born from live video feedback loops—disturbs the serenity, reminding us that beauty and error are intertwined. Here, fantasy and failure coexist. The creature, a relic of childhood imagination, anchors this unstable harmony, its vibrant armor catching fragments of corrupted light. There is a reminder here from the glitch’s shudder that all of this beauty is made of code and will eventually break down— just as the rocks will collapse into sand.
But in the meantime
what else is there to do but love?
