The Chrysler Building... New York's shining example of Art Deco architecture. Deco is a dynamic artwork of 4 images. "Taxi" is my ultimate New York moment, shot from the sky. A lone taxi crosses over 42nd St. through a shaft of light. "Lurking" shows the last bit of afternoon light hitting the crown and other areas that are clad with 'Nirosta" steel. "Cornered" takes a more detailed look at the crown at blue hour. The last bit of sunset light bleeds in from the west, while the iconic triangular windows are illuminated. "Aligned" is a newer composition with the modern One Vanderbilt as the backdrop to the Chrysler Building. 42nd Street occupies the left margin of the frame as the Chrysler's crown is fully illuminated.
