Imperfect restorations of the same picture: each restoration has limited information and a limited ability to reassemble the pixels correctly.
This is a reutilization of a pixel-sorting algorithm Kjetil Golid created a few years ago. Applying it to a relatively simple image and repeating the process multiple times makes the workings of the algorithm more apparent. The attached video demonstrates how the algorithm functions, repeatedly swapping pixels to recreate the original image.
