COLORS OF NOISE
“Kim Asendorf turns the entire spectrum of noise into an artistic experience in his series COLORS OF NOISE. Using an algorithm to generate the color of noise in real-time, he presents the diversity of the sound spectrum, visualizing its waves in abstract pixelated lines. These lines are visualized in a flickering mesh, creating a moiré pattern. The different sounds have different effects on the listener, who is directly drawn into the audio-visual experience, immersing into a multisensory artwork. The mesmerizing display of visual and auditory art subtly allows the audience to become the object of the work.” — Peggy Schoenegge
