BASALT RT

BASALT RT is a real-time Javascript software artwork that explores the BASALT algorithm in a long-form generative format. It leverages the interactivity of the web browser and provides an interface for walking through the parameter space of the algorithm. Each iteration generates unique gestures and color combinations based on a set of constraints, resulting in a range of abstract 2D figures that flow, blend, and dissipate through the canvas forever.

Double-click to pause the animation. Press 's' to save a still image to share, 'g' for a GIF and 'm' for an mp4. Try resizing the browser.

BASALT RT is resolution-dependent. It is best viewed at the largest resolution possible in live-view. Please note that this results in more compressed visuals at smaller resolutions. The thumbnail image is only a fragment of the whole artwork.
