What is the soul? What will save our soul? Who will save our soul? A question only time may tell, if ever. Unlikely the other pieces in this series, this one is a little more put together, a little smoother, and maybe a little more important. It's all just a simulation anyway, right?
Projections of the geometric form in the center are mapped to spheres orbiting the central figure. Although technically they are all observing the same geometric form, their perspective is warped due to their vantage point and position. Ultimately, uniqueness is in fact in the soul of the beholder.
The video is perfectly looped and despite containing elements of noise to appear random it starts and ends in the same state. The elements of perceived freedom and randomness are in fact an illusion, despite what you may be led to feel.
As a generative artist I write code that outputs unique versions of my work although the code remains the same. Uniqueness is at core of generative art, and uniqueness is at the core of cryptography.
