The day had come around, time to take him to the river.
A dear old friend this little frog, he had served her well in his time but now she must serve him.
He must return to the water one last time, and be free from all his worries.
She studied him along that slow walk amongst the reeds, his little legs would shift about and his eyes stared back and blinked.
This would be goodbye for now but not goodbye forever.
