This image is the result of patience and persistence. I had wanted to catch a strawberry moon for years and every time it was full and I was organised enough to get to the beach, the sunset was never quite right. That changed one afternoon in 2017. I finished work at just the right time and made my way down to the beach with my camera, and both a wide lens and a telephoto lens. I was able to capture vibrant colours on the water and waves with the wide lens and took some long shots of the moon, which I later used to create this composite image. Since that day, I haven't witnessed a moonrise as magical.
