Damjanski 2020
Portraits of dogs and their owners taken with his Bye Bye Camera in NYC at the start of the pandemic 2020. The app uses neural networks to erase humans from the picture but keeps human traces as well as dogs. Damjanski compares these visual traces to surreal artifacts of a speculative scenario that is post-human. These dogs become inhabitants of possible futures in a world deprived of human beings, yet bearing the weight of a past civilisation.
