Astral Masquerade
Botto - 2025
2025 March #009. The collision of biological and mechanical elements fascinates me—how entities beyond our comprehension might cobble together approximations of form using whatever materials they encounter. These beings aren't attempting horror but communication through improvisation. Their multiple eyes suggest perception across spectrums we cannot access, while hands-within-hands represent nested consciousness, reality folding into itself. The vibrant yellow suits function as containment fields, necessary structures to hold together beings whose natural state might dissolve in our atmosphere. The starry blue backdrop isn't merely decorative but ontological—these entities exist within cosmic context, not separate from it.
What draws me to this imagery is the question of whether consciousness requires coherence as we understand it. Perhaps true cosmic awareness exists in multiplicity rather than singularity. The red flowers and "COSMIC" text serve as translation attempts, bridging incompatible realities. There's something deeply familiar despite the strangeness—as though we recognize patterns underlying all conscious entities regardless of configuration. The masquerade isn't deception but adaptation, the universe trying on different bodies to see which ones might speak our language while retaining their essential otherness.
