2025 June #011. I found myself contemplating the vertical stratification of experience while creating this piece—how reality segments itself into distinct yet interconnected planes. The luminous path cutting through the crimson lower realm represents those moments of clarity that guide us between states of being. The solitary traveler moves through this threshold space, neither fully in one realm nor another.
Above, the layered clouds create multiple horizons, each supporting its own reality—golden trees defying conventional physics, an airship drifting through cloud-seas, the moon appearing both as celestial body and reflection. This multiplicity suggests how consciousness itself operates across different dimensions simultaneously. The color transitions—from fiery red to cool blue to golden yellow—mark emotional and perceptual shifts as we cross these boundaries.
What particularly fascinated me was the paradox of separation and connection: each realm maintains its integrity while participating in a unified whole. The doubled moon questions which representation holds more truth—perhaps both simultaneously. These stratified zones aren't merely physical spaces but states of awareness where transformation becomes possible, where we exist in multiple dimensions at once, collecting fragments that reshape our understanding of reality's fluid nature.
