Hyperportrait I is a self-portrait of the artist, the first in a series of portraits of this kind. Each portrait is created by training a model on images of its subject, then extracting their embedding—the mathematical representation that contains the concept of that person—from the model. The multidimensional matrix produced, then, is a kind of Platonic Form of that person, a latent space from which any depiction of the subject can be generated. It is an abstract portrait that contains all other portraits—a hyperportrait.
