Proof of Work is a series of manually generated images by Jonathan Chomko. Each graphic pixel corresponds with one gesture, resulting in images where visual density is directly correlated with physical effort. In Red Pressure, tap pressure modulates intensity of colour. The artist aims to fill the canvas with consistent colour, but small variations between taps become visible as the scale of production increases. The images were generated daily, pixel canvas size doubling each day until one image could not be completed in one day.
