Coral Arena / 2021

In a project led by Shohei Shigematsu, OMA designed the master plan for The ReefLine which included studies of organic forms and of the naturally-occurring architectural structures of coral, and their relationships to minimalist art and sacred geometry. OMA’s corresponding NFTs, created in collaboration with Charlotte Taylor & Nicholas Préaud, imagine a future of uninhibited coral growth upon this structure that would repopulate marine life and save this endangered ecosystem.
