8,000 feet above the Crossroads of the World, is an amazing sight to behold. New York from above at night is the one time that you can actually see the movements of the city lights. The ebb and flow of car lights, sirens, and thousands of people milling about in Times Square. This unique view feels so intimate and yet still feels so removed. It is one the most conflicting feelings. I am both cherishing its singular nature, and wishing everyone could witness this all at once. Taken from an open door helicopter - the onslaught of wind, vibration, and sound demands complete focus and execution to capture a clean, focused image.
