Communion - One White Wedding Dress, 2014

Communion is a collection of photographs where notes of magic and reality intertwine to create a physical space for the subjects to reside and contemplate themselves, on their own terms. It is a compilation of personal artwork and photographs made for commissioned projects about Black girl magic, spirituality, religion, and poetry. The images speak to the love, support, celebration, and understanding that are experienced in intimate relationships, specifically between women.
