Inspired by the infamous bitcoin time traveler's reddit post. Although this post paints a bleak picture of the future post-hyperbitcoinization, it is also the origin of the bitcoin citadel meme, which has imbued many members of the bitcoin community to become hopeful for a future where bitcoin will provide users with sovereignty, independence, and protection from a potentially dangerous socio-economic situation caused by the failure of the fiat money system.
