While my art has been primarily informed by the 400-year history of landscape painting in the western world, I've also always been enamored with the eastern tradition of scroll painting. “Dream Scrolls” are my homage to that time-honored tradition in landscape art. What I find particularly intriguing about this art form, which is often presented in highly vertical formats, is the seamless transition between 2D texture and 3D space that occurs as one's gaze moves from the foreground elements at the bottom of the painting to the distant views at the top. This 1:1 artwork is the video version of one of the images I created for my debut collection on MakersPlace, which consists of nine real-world locations that I captured around the globe over the last decade, each "dreamed" by my custom AI for the first time, each in a different dreaming style carefully curated for its visual compatibility with my underlying source photography.
