Comments: Driving through Mississippi all I can think about is how green this place was. The leaves of the trees reaching out to us. Hanging over the streets withy ivy stacked and climbing up the electric poles. The light permeating through the photosynthesizing nature. You can see the chlorophyll filling transparently and I'll never forget that vibrancy. The towns were few and far between in north eastern Mississippi. Ethan, Sandy, and I found our way to a mossy wall inside a river bank. For some reason I thought it was a good idea to let Sandy roam around. He started ascending the stepping stones on the mossy walls like a mountain goat. He goat pretty high up and I got nervous so I ran after him before he ran away. I panicked and he almost escaped me slowly, but I jumped and snatched him up before he got over the wall. I slipped on the wet rocks and fell on my bum, thankfully I had him in my arms and he was safe now. I felt like an idiot as there were people watching this go down. I quickly put him back in the cat pack and we left town. There was one grocery store ten or twenty miles out. We found our solace at home in the trees. Debra was our host and had built a stunning structure in the middle of the woods. The wooden floor boards creaked and the black widow spiders creeped on their webs, Yes, I walked through a few and leaped. Once I went inside to look around for a lint roller and found a bible in the drawer. It was the only book of lore in the tree top temple. We sparked up a pretty large joint and Ethan started recording me as I opened up to a random page in the book and started performing a prose while blowing smoke. It was Isaiah 14:14 - "I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." I thought it was a bit ironic that was the page I landed on to read aloud. Once the play was over we sat and meditated on the deck. This is what it must've felt like to be an Ewok living in their village. Living in the forest. Debra was proud of the home she built by hand, and we were grateful to stay and rest for a day before heading to the next state. She mentioned she was starting another project at another property. It was her passion to build. She was happy we wanted to make her portrait with her beloved work. A way to show respect to her and her creation where we lay our heads at the night before. If I could I would stay some more, but the adventure pulled us into the next door. A portal to tomorrow, another state to spectate. Following through to discover new terrain, Covering more ground in the US of A.
