Comments: It was day two at the Psychedelic Science fair. There were so many lessons this day. Stand your ground while being calm. Set boundaries strong. Forfeit the people pleasing. Letting go of the ego. Again... Chasing the ideals to have Rick Doblin and Paul Stamets to be a part of the art project. To represent the conference days, the founder of the conference and the counter culture movement towards complete freedom. Legalize. Regulate. Educate. Honoring the moment of this milestone in medicine. I was met with great resistance to make it happen and so I exited the building. Until I had a realization sitting outside in the dog park on a fruit cocktail of plant medicines. A stranger approached me asking for a light. Her name was Rebecca. She is an MDMA therapist. I never tried MDMA before so I asked her a few questions about the process . We somehow dove into a deep conversation about her family upbringing. Where she told me how she came out as gay to her husband, and has since found her joy. Being happy with her true self. In that moment I realized. She's right! Be courageous, And, Know yourself. I asked myself, Why do I need to chase the ego and fame to photograph inside the building, when I can see the real and authentic sharing their time with me in the dog park . A genuine conversation about identity and healing, Opening up. Turns into trust... Rebecca got me to open up. I felt safe. She is the symbol of friendship. What this conference represents is bringing a lot of people together through the medicine; Through healing! Rebecca recited her heart opening story of coming out to the world. Delivered directly into the camera lens. Sending all the love to you.
