Comments: It was early in the morning and we knocked on the main door. Paul & Laura are the owners of the Xanadu. Waking up for a golden sunrise at their homemade stone henge in the backyard. Once the shoot was over they invited us into their music recording studio. They were preparing for a podcast and asked if we would like to be on with them. We smiled, said hello to their guest and silently let ourselves out as they continued interviewing... Sedona’s Xanadu is a one-of-a-kind architectural wonder made up of ten interconnected white domes nestled in the desert landscape. Originally built in the 1990s using monolithic dome construction, it blends futuristic design with organic flow—curved walls, skylights, sunken lounges, and tunnels create a dreamlike atmosphere. Once painted in rainbow colors, it now stands in bright white, reflecting Sedona’s sunlight and spiritual energy. Designed to be incredibly durable and energy-efficient, it’s not just a home. It is an immersive experience that feels like stepping into a sculptural, otherworldly sanctuary. It was a blessing to stay with Paul and Laura's home during our time in Sedona. An organic architectural phenomenon. That night we sat in the backyard surrounded by stone henge. I looked up at the constellations and saw a purple haze in the sky just above our heads. It was a faint yet static. A shimmer of electricity, of energy. Like a magnetic chainlink web in the atmosphere. Alas! We were inside the vortex.
