Comments: We met up with Jason at Gabba Gallery; which is at the intersection of Hollywood, Silver Lake, and Korea town, to make his portrait. Gabba Gallery was where this journey all started. We lit the spark of the soul here, and other things... Outside the gallery where I shot Ethan for the first day of the project. Everything came full circle. A base, an HQ, our home where we created art and closed business deals. A white box filled with colors splashing and joints smoking. Since March of 2021, I was spending most of my work days surfing in the early morning then driving over to Gabba Gallery until the late evening. In the back of the private studio was where my silkscreen and computer station was. Printing away winter after winter, and summer after summer for a couple of years until Smoke and Mirrors Tarot Scrolls was completed. When I finished printing the papyrus prints we held an exhibition for Smoke and Mirrors at the gallery on March 23rd 2023. Showcasing the Gold and Silver scrolls I made for the special edition books. The show sold out instantly, it was a huge success! My family; my Father and Sister, came to my first LA exhibit and it was so deeply healing and fun. And then, we cleaned up shop. I moved all my artwork into a storage in Venice beach before starting the epic journey across the globe. Today marks the return to Gabba, before Gabba moved into its new location in Downtown Los Angeles. Gabba was also closing up shop and moving on to bigger and better things. This was the final exhibit. Passing through the halls of the gallery one last time... and never looking back...
