Comments: It was our last night in Hong Kong. We were introduced to Jeffrey & Stefanie by my friend Renée. Jeffrey is from the United States and Stefanie is from China. It was just after midnight. Not too far from where we were staying. Jeffrey told us to meet him outside of his apartment. We entered the building and went up in the elevator to the roof. It was too dark too shoot and there were no lights, even for the night film. We had to improvise, quickly. So I suggested we can goto the park next door lit up by lanterns. Stefanie joined us downstairs and we all walked to the stone gazebo. The couple brought out there cats and held them in their arms. During the portrait one of the cats climbed on Jeffreys back. We finished the shoot and they said it was time to go to bed. I thanked them, and we left down the hill. We rode escalators and descended large stairwells, perfect for skateboarding, built into the sidewalks on our trek home. We took a detour down a stoney alley. Ethan and I found a bite to eat at a small window serving burgers and falafel. We sat on a small bench next to the take out window under a panda mural. Sitting in silence appreciating the quiet of the night in a busy city. Reminiscing on our time in Asia. Concluding...The moments we lived and the art we created. The laughs we had with strangers becoming friendly faces. The journey continues to our home country. Preparing for our trip to all 50 states that starts tomorrow on a small island in Hawaii. I had to renew my passport to travel abroad as it was about to expire. We planned to stay in the United States while we wait for my new passport to arrive. It was a big gamble on the project, because there was a six to eight month wait period. Thankfully! With a bit of faith and luck and expenditure. It will arrive in July on the same day we reach New York.
