Comments: It was time to see some art! My friend Yael introduced me to Sunny once we arrived in Hong Kong. He is a wonderful curator at M+ museum. This new museum carries one of the greatest collections of Chinese art spanning from before the 60s until now! It was eye opening to experience and discover all these artists I never heard of or was taught at school, coming from the west. Sunny generously gave us a tour of all the floors. I asked him what art piece in the museum best represents him, and he gave us a big smile and said, right this way! We approached a nook in the corner of the museum to an immersive LED room with mirrors. It was an artwork by Kong Kee. I started recording once the main animation stopped playing. The blinking yellow color lit up the room except his face. A human shape. We finished making art with art and went on to see Beeple's Human One. Ethan and I were joyously surprised to be met with a large installation by Yayoi Kusama in the center of the building ascending multiple floors. Beeple's piece was in a concrete hall by itself. Kinetic, like a rift in time and space. Chromatic shifts round and round while the human astronaut in the digital cube is walking on and on and on.... Forever. Like Sisyphus, without his rock and mountain, he carries on.
