Comments: Song invited us to meet him at an NFT gallery called, Uncommon Gallery, in the south side of the city over the bridge. As soon as we walked into the futuristic space, Song introduced us to the gallery director, Lucia. She gave us a tour of the exhibition, where we went through every artist and art work. I gravitated to two distinct pieces. A playable grand piano sculpture, where I snapped a polaroid, and the immersive video wall in the center of the space, where I made their moving portrait. It was June's artwork, I did not meet her until she saw that her work was posted in the behind the scenes on social media. I asked if she would like to be in the project when we made it back to California. She said, Yes! June was happy that we used her art as the background for the video at her exhibition. We had planned to meet her in Joshua Tree! Lucia and Song stood together in the silhouette. The flowers of digital art was moving through space behind where they were planted like a tree. Lucia and Song talents complimented one another. A representation of an artist and a curator collaborating to support upcoming artists in a brave new digital world. Discover new talent by trusting the taste of the artist. Who they suggest or look up too. Opening doors. Giving people an opportunity to be seen and collected. By a gallerist who is willing to try something different and putting new people on! These are the risks, and art is the reward.
