Comments: We woke up at sunrise before our flight to Uluru. Dundo drove from the city to where GT lives an hour in the countryside. I was asking GT where we may find the kangaroos and he said they’re all over the fucking place! “You’ll see. I know a place.” So we drove in his truck to the misty golf course at the country club. No security, no problem! We drove up on the green and there they were eating the grass like natural lawn mowers. I even had this theory that kangaroos evolved as bunnies when they first arrived by ship and ate up all the grass across the continent to become big boxing marsupials. Anyway, there were hordes of them gently grazing. We walked carefully to not scare them off. Some peaked there eye up and hopped away. Especially the babies. So we scouted the area and calmly walked around while they were eating and the gents were hitting golf balls in our direction. Then we found an open green and a swarm of Roos. This was the last chance before the sun came up and they go back into the forest. We made this portrait and GT started to talk to them to get their attention and we recorded them hopping away as Dundo stood there by the tree. As soon as the shot was done they took drove me to the airport and met with Lambie from the Banana shot and Gursh, a new friend of GTs that I met at Oshi gallery, to join me for Christmas in Uluru!
