Comments: We were Flâneurs throughout the city. Reading the corners and corridors like a memory we never dreamed. Allured by this city; possessed by creativity and historical inspiration. There is romance written on the walls in metal and stone of the buildings masonry. We came across a protest at Place de la République. I scanned the crowded area and noticed a woman with a clown nose and beside her a friend with a bag of bread. We asked them about their signs and they said it was a mockery on tax evasion. Referring to their government officials corruption. They continued to express their woes with us and why they were standing up and speaking out for justice. This was the moment. An emblematic shot to document the protest with our two heroes. I asked the women if they would like to represent their messages in the project. Their wishes were to hold the politicians accountable for violating tax fraud, and for the peoples' needs to be heard and acted on. I swung the camera upward to convey the strength of lady liberty. She was dressed in a yellow jersey with her bronze flame lighting the way to a brighter future..
