Comments: Stefan and his wife Ilona met with us for a private gallery tour. Ethan and I joined Stefan and Ilona in their car and saw a new sight of Berlin I haven't experienced, in a car. Stefan arranged a museum tour and private meeting with the museum director of the Helmut Newton Foundation. It was my first time visiting and was inspired by all the work I learned in photography school. We learned about the commercial and personal life of the adventures of sir Helmut Newton. It was interesting to notice that he used many of the same cameras as I do. From Polaroids to Rollieflex and large format field cameras! After the tour and seeing all of Helmut's Iconic work, we went upstairs into the office as a group. Talking about NFTs to the museum director to share with him how archival and attractive the blockchain technology is for photography to introduce a new audience to Helmut's work and legacy. I sat quietly looking at rare Helmut books while Stefan and the director caught up, as they were friends. We smiled and shared ideas how it would be possible to partner and bring his work to life online. 45 minutes flew by and decided it was time to go. We shook hands and he handed me his card. As we descended the staircase I noticed the writing on the wall. "Women are so much stronger than men in whatever situation." Then I saw Stefan and Ilona pass the paragraph behind me and thought to myself, Wow! That would be an interesting juxtaposition. Most, if not all, of Helmet's work is about beauty and women, power and glamour. The statement rings true and is seen throughout his entire oeuvre. These fashionable women dominate his frame for many years, overshadowing and overpowering the photographer. I saw the lovers standing on the staircase and under these powerful words, and then they intimately kissed. The first kiss in the project!
