Comments: In the middle of Copenhagen there is a beautiful park with a rose garden. I was walking around smellings the fragrant flowers in the afternoon. The scent of flowers make me feel so high like a bee swimming in its pollen to bring back to the hive and make their honey. I go around to the rows of roses, slowly and sipping the freshness into my brain. During my walking meditation through the park I hear a commotion and see a group of young men fighting and wrestling in the grass. I walked over to them cautiously and smiling with the camera strapped to my chest to say hello. They were intrigued by my camera and asked them who was winning the battle. One of the boys jumped up. I asked if they would like to be in the art project and if I could record their next match. Andreas & Bilal versed one another. They played rough in the patch of grass on the path, and one of them started bleeding from his elbows. It was ironic to photograph the juxtaposition between the two men playfully fighting in the foreground, and two women sitting and having a conversation in the background. I did not realize they were in the shot until after the film was developed. It showed me an uncanny state of what it meant to be a man and a woman. Men love to fight, women love to talk. That's what makes us, human. Perhaps this is how we evolved over millions over years. Strength and gossip make the world go round. Sportsmanship and companionship is the real emotional gold. We all want peace and harmony at the end of the day. We just have different ways to get there. Men fight to establish peace, women talk through it. Perhaps I am wrong in stating any of thus, but it is what I have observed. We all were just having some fun in the park on this day. Meeting strangers and making art. This was the only "fight" scene in this entire project and it was filled with so much love and brotherhood.
