Comments: Every morning I would post online, good morning, where I was that day. For example: gm Amsterdam! I did this to see how I can engage online with people who may be in those specific cities. To be potential subjects for the projects, artists to connect with, people who would like to guide us around their home. It was a great way for us to bring the online into the offline. Futuradora soon responded to our call. We met a few months back when my friend Rahilla had introduced us. So, we had planned to meet at a local coffee shop called, Grey Area. She did not smoke but was happy to sit with us as we enjoyed the Silver Haze. While we were smoking she was excited to be showing us the poetry she had been working on and had the idea to shoot her doing a poetry reading in the Red Light District. I always appreciate when the subject has a place in mind to shoot as most of the time I ask this question so I can best represent their character in the artwork to its truest form. We went deep into the alleys of the Red Light District. We passed all the women working in their windows, and all the men standing in groups drinking and chuckling to one another as they left the rooms with a big smile on their face. Futuradora said this was it! She stood in the alley to recite her poetry while we were being voyeured by the women banging on their windows telling us to stop filming. It was a delicate situation and we wanted to be as respectful as possible the workers, and we kept rolling. It was chaotic and thrilling. I counted down the 10 seconds listening to her shout her reading into the silent camera. They kept banging and cursing. So we left, with a big smile on our faces, since we got the shot Futuradora was adamant on. We went back to Grey Area to finish the hash from earlier, and have a round of mint tea with honey. Then the night ended with an Exquisite Corpse. Futuradora, Ethan, and I wrote a poem together.
