Comments: Took a little trip to Dolores park in the heart of the Mission in San Francisco. It's been a while since I was by myself since starting this roadtrip. I sat in the park for a few hours while waiting for Kyle to join me after work so we can make his portrait. He also gifted me goggles and survival gear for the upcoming Burning Man. Found a great parking spot right next to the park and hid all my camera shit in the trunk just incase people wanted to break into cars as this was a constant occurrence and I was on high alert. Sat at the top of the hill watching all the people playing around in the park. The family with their new born babies having picnics, the frat-tech bros playing Frisbee and tossing bean bags into a hole. The hippies and skaters smoking joints playing loud music. The entrepreneurs selling magic mushroom cookies and joints, it was quite a lucrative business. A few other people laying in the sun and reading books too. It was fun to observe life just passing by after passing by so many times in other places. To be in stillness was bliss. Parks are my happy place. Touching grass with my hands and toes, letting the sun land on the pages of wisdom, being present and being patient. I saw Kyle arriving in the distance and got up to walk down the hill to meet him. We sat and talked for an hour before shooting his portrait. I wanted to capture the feeling of this place and it's communal energy, which always attracts me there while smoking a fat joint to just chill the fuck out and shut my mind up for some peace and quiet for once! I asked Kyle where he lived and turns out I was staying on that same side of sunset too, so I drove him home and we jammed out a little longer on the ride to the west side of the city. We caught a beautiful pink and tangerine sunset in sunset.
