Comments: Since Ethan I were spending so much time with my family, it was time to go visit his! We finally left my fathers house after a few days of rest from reaching the west coast to east coast, while zigging and zagging through some of the middle states on cruise control. It was sunrise and we gave Ethan's brother, Eli a call. It wasn't too early for him because he runs a fun company where people gather to do yoga and dance to get the day started. A way to break in the day! Eli was waiting for us in Greenpoint before his daughter went off with her mom. We parked our car at the perfect spot next to the entrance and brought Sandy along into the park to say hello and make some art. Eli greeted us and always has a big smile on his face. He is a kind and loving dude. Solei, his daughter, was playing hop scotch enjoying the beginning of her day. She is a funny kid and has a distinguished New Yorker accent. While we were creating their father-daughter portrait, she paused the photoshoot a few times to tell us that her favorite food is ice cream and the place to eat it was upstate. Ethan and I tried it days later and I won't lie it was pretty damn good. Radha, her mother, was patiently waiting to pick up their baby girl for school or a play date, I don't quite recall. The clock was ticking and the pressure was on as I did not want to make them late! She was watching us create and I was gifting the family a joyful moment, between daddy Eli and his wonderful daughter Solei, a memory that will last more than a thousand lifetimes that will shine nostalgic happiness into their lives. A gift of something to look back on later when the present has passed and to think, Wow! We were here. Do you remember being a kid and how easy it is? The laughter in the playground playing tag, the blissful innocence of asking questions that are obvious to us now, and learning new words and meanings; the wonders of the world are found in the simplest things. A leaf falling, the wind calling, the sun glaring, and a bug passing us by, waving goodbye and carrying a twig thrice larger than its body. We all have our inner child inside of us waiting to be seen, loved, and heard. Remember? What it feels like to belong! It is the never-ending life mission. Earth is our home and we all belong here as brothers and sisters. Creating a community of friends that love the same things you do. A place of inner peace where we can dance and feel at ease. A moment for pure awareness, where you can hear our friends cry out, Holy shit we are alive!
