Sydney 2021: The Future

This is part of my Sydney 2021 series. An unusually quiet Opera House is the backdrop for a metaphor about the transition from Web2 to Web3.

The act of taking a selfie to put on Facebook is a very Web2 experience.

In Web3 in 2021 we have seen wild creations born of unique visions - much like the Opera House itself.

This image was made possible by the unique circumstances of 2021, when the COVID-19 pandemic kept international tourists away from Sydney. The pandemic also drove many people to explore Web3 from their homes, adding an extra dimension to the photo.
