My favorite thing about this artwork is the dimensionality and the immediacy achieved. It is quite special to me, not only because I "evolved" the original drawing, but because the character Dots almost interjects himself in the artwork. The figure is in a kneeling position, which resembles prayer, and is in an environment intended to be an allusion to the metaverse. Dots and Aleqth Unify in this piece, and although the ratio is uncertain, it is evident by the primary figures left (right) ear.
I came up with the name "Junya" for the original drawing in listening to Kanye West's "Junya". It goes something like "Junya Wantanabe on my WRIST!" with a church organ and infectious baseline in the background. The sonics of the tune inspired a sort of intense reverence, represented in this artwork by the gnashing teeth and the impression of immense gravity. I also see this piece as a draft-work for a much larger sculpture.
