I found myself in a local comic shop sifting through some dusty magazines. I was 2 months into a massive creative block and struggling to come up with new ideas. In these times, it becomes an arduous task to create. I remember contemplating whether my ability to drum up ideas for a new artwork was lost for good. After hours of searching , my girlfriend pulled out a magazine from 1976 and it's title, "Getting High in The Pentagon", immediately struck me. Inside, I found an image that made me feel alive again, something I could immediately use in a new collage. As I find myself in one of these long lasting creative blocks today, this image could not be more pertinent. This is a reminder that creativity is a fleeting moment and something that cannot be rushed or forced. I have always had a strong connection to this image and as an artists its one I always come back to and can say I am truly proud of.
