When Racer's new app friend.tech quickly gained momentum in 2023, it sparked vital conversations on the ethics of building in crypto. Should friendships and access to individuals be traded 24/7 like coins or stocks? As we race onward into the future, how often will we stop to contemplate the evolving dynamics of our digital connections?
This illustrated artwork by Efdot was created to capture the hyper fast, chaotic nature of friend.tech's mysterious co-founder and the broader crypto / tech landscape of the 2020s. The typographic layout & theme of this work were inspired in part by the manga / anime series "Speed Racer".
