October 22, 2019: Drunken Florida man on Segway charged with DUI, drank nearly 2 bottles of wine, deputies say. Did you know it's illegal to drive a Segway while intoxicated? One Florida Man apparently found out the hard way, authorities said. Not only did Florida Man ride a Segway while under the influence, but he did so outside a Sheriff's Office substation on Dunson Road. A Sheriff's Office lieutenant saw Florida Man unsteadily riding the Segway in the middle lanes, swerving and impeding traffic. Florida Man told the lieutenant he had consumed nearly two bottles of wine. Florida Man was arrested and taken to the Polk County jail, where he provided breath samples resulting in 0.243, 0.220 and 0.238, deputies said.
