The desert landscapes of the Great Southwest are amongst the most stunning places on Earth. This is especially true when all of the elements come together, creating an incredible show of nature. This photograph was taken during an unforgettable evening atop “The Island in the Sky” in Utah. The setting sun illuminated the horizon with fiery colors, contrasting a dark and moody lightning storm brewing in the distance. And yes... that lightning bolt is 100 percent real!
