This piece was made as a charity piece for the Twitter 140 Charity Auction led by Sotheby's and Sostento. Proceeds from the sale of this piece will go towards fulfilling Sostento’s mission of helping frontline healthcare heroes save lives. #Gifted140
The theme for the project is "Gifted" and is dedicated to healthcare workers. I wanted to show that when the pandemic happened, all the touch, intimacy and physical hugs that we have always taken for granted suddenly became something that isn't as accessible and available anymore. It was only when the situation started to improve after the tireless help from these healthcare heroes that people were given the gift of being able to see their loved ones and show their love and affection through hugs and physical touch again.
