This piece is deeply rooted in the stories and imagery that shaped me growing up in Brazil. The three figures move together in a dance-like embrace, caught somewhere between the real and the mythical. The man in the straw hat, with a heart on his back, holds onto a masked figure dressed in deep blues and greens, while another figure, wrapped in red and black stripes, leans into the rhythm of it all.
The background is alive with symbols and textures, a chaotic and vibrant world filled with plants, marks, and memories. The phrase "Boto Pega" nods to the legend of the Boto, the pink river dolphin who transforms into a man to seduce festival-goers—a story that fascinated me as a child. "Rosa Geral" hints at something broader, a feeling of love, connection, and shared experience.
Skulls, hands, and abstract shapes weave into the piece, creating an almost ritualistic atmosphere. It’s a celebration of folklore, movement, and the spiritual weight of the land I grew up in—a reflection of the stories that still live in me.
