The Mini-me is a doll, a replica of Marina. This double invites exploration of the coexistence of multiple personalities within a single individual, reflecting the complex layers of identity. Another interpretation sees the doll as a preservation of one's inner child—a smaller, vulnerable version of oneself that seeks care, protection, and nurturing. It serves as a poignant reminder of the tender core that remains within us all. Uniquely personal, the doll is not just a copy but an idealised version of Marina Abramović. For this creation, Marina cut her hair to use in its making, infusing the piece with an intimate and deeply symbolic connection to her identity.
