2 hours before this shot was taken Yosemite was engulfed in a complete whiteout. Our resolve was not weakened and we drove to a predetermined shooting location and set up our gear alongside roughly 50 other photographers. 30 minutes before sunset the sky cleared and lit up the waterfall. At first I was so mesmerized by Firefall, I forgot to start shooting. This image is one of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken.
