Clothing-Optional, Open Mind Mandatory

The Esalen retreat center in Big Sur, on the remote California coast, has long been a famous center for alternative thought, weird shit, and interesting happenings. Hunter S Thompson used to be a gun-toting caretaker of the property back in the 1960s It's now an expensive retreat for rich yuppies looking to reconnect with the land, but it remains incredibly gorgeous. I was lucky enough to visit the property a few years ago, and it's almost uncomfortably beautiful. So few people will ever visit there, that I love the idea of them getting to experience a tiny slice of it through this image.
