Honeypot Orchid

The Honeypot Orchid is a sacred flower species, intrinsically connected to the female planter, or ‘custodian’, and thus is deemed the flower of femininity.

A highly sensitive orchid, it attunes itself to the temperament of it’s custodian planter; in times of great joy and safety it will excrete a fragrant mist from it’s sponge-like red tip, and in times of vulnerability and fear, it will secrete a thick, sticky orange fluid (hence the name) from it’s engorged outer petals, creating a protective barrier on it’s delicate petals.

The Honeypot Orchid will only flourish when tended to each day by it’s custodian, making it a very prized and orchid to cultivate, associated with pride and loyalty.
