Tall Scarlet

The Tall Scarlet is an exquisite and striking plant; its tall stature and colour set of deep red flowers and glossy black leaves command attention from pollinators.

The black leaves of the Tall Scarlet absorb sunlight more efficiently than green leaves, allowing the plant to photosynthesize and grow at haste. The red flowers are a signal to potential pollinators, indicating the presence of nectar inside the scarlet blooms.

At the top of the Tall Scarlet, small vines grow and twist around the stem, forming a protective barrier around the flowers and leaves. These vines help to defend the plant from potential predators, and also help to support the plant and prevent it from falling over in extreme weather.
